Brent R. Mathus
Chief Commercial Officer
As Chief Commercial Officer of AlphaSimplex, Mr. Mathus is responsible for the full client experience, from marketing to sales to client service, including business development and incorporating client feedback into product design and innovation. He leads a cross-functional team focused on sales, investor relations, product development, and marketing strategy.
Mr. Mathus rejoined AlphaSimplex in 2016 as an Institutional Client Portfolio Manager. In this role, he provided client service and represented AlphaSimplex’s investment capabilities in the global institutional marketplace. He has also held positions as Chief Operating Officer for Arialytics and Managing Director for Eclipse Capital Management. Prior to that, Mr. Mathus served as a Managing Director and Head Trader at AlphaSimplex before its acquisition by Natixis Global Asset Management1 in 2007.
Mr. Mathus earned a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Missouri, Columbia. He began his career in the investment industry in 1998.
